You know sometimes the greatest things in life are free, but in this case the best things in life happen on the NIKE Spike Bus. I must admit Tatnall was a visit that was highly anticipated, but at the same time soooo worth it.

Let me just give you a run down of the history of this school:

-They were the first group effort for the 'black velvet' chant

-My first loss in block starts

-Met me down at Smokey Mountain Running Camp in NORTH CAROLINA!!!

-kids give themselves nicknames there?!?!

-If I were to chant "What will we do to our competitors?" they will yell back "Make them suffer!"

-Only place where a kid can be a kid

The Nike Spike Bus decided to make a trip down to Willmington Delaware and meet up with these awesome kids, and they were sure to entertain. From the moment the bus pulled up it was like an ochestra started playing "We Are The Champions", because we were greeted with awe inspired kids ready to take part in what the bus had to offer. We were set up to spend 2 days with The Tatnall School, one day for a school experience and the second to be a part of the DISC Championship meet. The school visit was great for those who had never seen the bus before; they couldn't help but quench their curiousity by walking over to check out the orange beast! The entire school visited the bus faculty included and that alone was so worth the trip, but it wasnt until the championship meet that the presence of the bus was truely felt. Coach Pat set the bus up as a part of the course so that runners would run around us and that in itself was really cool. Both the boys and girls team won they're respective championships, and both broke the course records for an individual on the course. 

The Nike Spike Bus is extremely thankful for an awesome visit with The Tatnall School and was very excited to see great finishes by both the boys and girls programs. Another awesome visit to tack up on the wall for a extradordinary season on the NIKE SPIKE BUS!
